MEMBER PRIVILEGE®

Anne Arundel County Employees Federal Credit Union offers Member Privilege®, a special overdraft service for your share draft account. Member Privilege® saves you from the embarrassment, merchant fees and possible damage to your credit history that might result if a check is returned.

There is no fee for this added protection unless you actually use it. You will be charged our standard NSF fee of $30 for each item created by check or by other electronic means. As long as you maintain your account in good standing, AACE FCU may honor overdrafts up to the Member Privilege® limit on your account. You will receive an overdraft notice by mail each time an item is paid. Remember to subtract the item amount as well as the $30 fee from your check book register.

Member Privilege® limits are automatically assigned when an account is opened. However, new account holders must wait 30 days before they can use the overdraft service.

If you currently have other overdraft transfer arrangements, such as a savings or dependent account, that arrangement will pay checks or electronic debits presented to AACE FCU first. Member Privilege® will be activated only when the funds available through those arrangements are exhausted.

If your account does not have this service assigned to it and you would like to have it available to you, notify the Credit Union. In the same respect, if you would like to have this service removed from your account, notify us to receive a Member Privilege® Opt-Out Form.
